Jerri L. Compton, Executive Director
Jerri was born in Pike Co. KY and grew up in Logan, West Virginia, where she graduated from Logan High School before heading to Huntington WV to attend Marshall University. There she received her undergraduate degree in social work and shortly after moved to ri moved to Ashland in 1997 to begin a career in the healthcare field, working as a contractor in multiple local hospitals. Her work in healthcare led to many travel and leadership opportunities that took her to both Louisville and Chicago for more than two years while continuing to be based out of Ashland. While working full-time helping lead growth and expansion of the healthcare company she was employed with, Jerri obtained her master's degree in strategic leadership. With a career background that included both for-profit and non-profit work in healthcare, marketing and finance, Jerri was selected to head United Way of Northeast Kentucky in April 2013. She and her husband, Kevin, have been married since 1999, reside in Cannonsburg KY and enjoy music and traveling.
Sandy E. Childers, Director of Operations and Finance
Sandy was born in Lawrence County, OH and graduated from South Point High School. She is the daughter of Clifford and Mary Childers and the oldest of three children. As a single mother, she raised three children while working full-time and pursuing her college education in Business Administration from the University of Kentucky. Her previous work experience involved office management and information technology. She worked for United Way of Northeast Kentucky from 1999-2012 before moving to Northern Kentucky to expand her knowledge in business administration at Cincinnati Northern KY International Airport in the Safety Security and Compliance Department, while spearheading the United Way Campaign there. The non-profit pull called her back to this area where she returned to UWNEK as the Director of Operations and Finance in March 2016.
Nadia Ally, 2-1-1 Director
Nadia was born in Chicago, Illinois, but grew up in Harlan, Kentucky. Graduating from Harlan Independent High School in 2002, she went on to the University of Pittsburgh to earn two Bachelor of Science degrees in Economics and Business Administration with a minor in Marketing. Nadia's drive for higher education lead to earning a master's degree in Public Administration with a focus in non-profit and public health from the University of North Carolina - Wilmington in 2012. Nadia's work experience is in business analytics, recruiting, public health research, and evidence-based program development.
